Global traveller and thinker in the footsteps of the Socceroos

Pablo Bateson is a freelance innovator, writer and researcher for football. His global travels across six continents have included experiencing football in 23 countries. 

Pablo has visited 15 member nations of the  Asian Football Confederation for World Cup qualifiers of the Socceroos, and the epic second leg of the 2014 Asian Champions League final. 

Previously over nearly three decades, Pablo worked in the related fields of sustainability, governance, environment and natural resource management. He had professional policy and management roles at different times in all three levels of government, industry, consulting, the tertiary education sector, and not-for-profit organisations. 

Pablo is currently undertaking post graduate research on football in Australia. He is also passionate about the development of grassroots football programs linked to education, health and well being outcomes for children.
