Yesterday, Mark Bosnich said that the Western Sydney Wanderers players were “a bit embarrassing” and that a possible boycott would incur the ire of FIFA (let’s put aside whether that’s actually a bad thing when it comes to FIFA).

But today, FIFA CEO, Jerome Valcke has appeared to side with the players when questioned about the issue in Morocoo.

“The ones of a team are the players,” he said. “The ones on the pitch are the players.”
